How to coupon at Walgreens

Walgreens can be a bit more intimidating when it comes to couponing, because they use two different points systems. One-point system used is the Balance rewards, balance rewards are points accumulated for buying a product or spending amounts. This amount comes in points and each thousand points are equal to 1 dollar that can be used or applied to you purchase like money. Register rewards are printed at register for purchasing qualified products. You can also use register rewards like money and apply to amount owed at checkout. Balance rewards may have a spend threshold and the spend threshold must be met before manufactured coupons are discounted. Walgreens does allow for you to stack you manufactured coupons with their store coupons and weekly deals.

You may have a Publix or Kroger near you. In my state these stores have not hit my areas just yet, but I am hopeful for the future.
