Free Ice Skating Opening Day at Crown Center
Now is the time Kansas City! On November 4th, Get the family together and Visit the Ice Terrace Skating Rink on Opening day Crown Center and ice skate for Free! The hours are from 6am to 9am. Coffee and hot chocolate will be served.
The Crown Center Ice Terrace opens for its 50th season from November 4, 2022 through March 12, 2023.
Reservations are not required to skate at the Crown Center Ice Terrace this season. Skaters can enjoy the ice without any time limit.
Anyone who wants to leave and return in the same day will be issued a wristband, so they don’t have to pay another admission.
Crown Center Ice Terrace Admission for 2022-2023
To skate on the rink, there is an admission fee plus a cost for skate rental, unless you bring your own.
- Skaters (age 4+): $8
- Skate rental: $5
- Season pass: $120
Non-skaters who wish to enter the fenced rink area are required to pay admission. Kids 6-12 must be supervised by an adult. Kids under the age of 6 must be accompanied on the ice by an adult.
Crown Center Ice Terrace Hours
The schedule for the Crown Center Ice Terrace is always subject to weather conditions.
During the months of November, December and January the rink is open on the following days and times:
Sunday – Thursday: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.
During February and March, the rink is open at on the following days and times:
Sunday: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Monday – Thursday: 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Holiday hours for the Crown Center Ice Terrace vary. See details for these special days:
Thanksgiving Day: 3 – 10 p.m.
Christmas Eve: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Christmas Day: closed
New Year’s Eve: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
New Year’s Day: noon – 11 p.m.
Crown Center Ice Terrace Location & Parking
Crown Center Ice Terrace is in downtown Kansas City, MO at 2455 Grand Blvd. (25th Street & Grand Blvd.). The rink is located on the Blue Level of the Crown Center Square.
Covered parking for Crown Center Square is available at 25th Street and Grand Blvd. Parking in the East Retail garage is closest to the rink.
Three hours of FREE parking is available with validation at the Ice Terrace. For more than three hours of parking, take same-day receipts totaling $25+ to Crown Center Customer Service on the second level of the Crown Center shops.
