Racing, Sliders, and Giant Claws: My Fun-Filled Day at Dave & Buster’s!
If you’re looking for a fun and interactive way to spend the day—especially with the kiddos or even on a casual date night—Dave & Buster’s just leveled up! I recently stopped by to check out their new Hot Wheels: King of the Road game and let me tell you—it’s a whole experience.
The Hot Wheels Experience at Dave and Busters
First of all, if you were obsessed with Hot Wheels as a kid (or have a little one who is now), this new game is a must-try. The colors are vibrant, the action is fast-paced, and it brings that nostalgic excitement of racing toy cars but on a big screen. The best part? You can race side-by-side with your crew and actually win the title of “King of the Road.” I’m not saying I won… but I’m also not saying I didn’t (wink).
Speaking of sweet… let’s talk about the food.
Dave & Buster’s rolled out a game + meal combo that totally hit the spot. I had the buffalo chicken sliders, which were just the right amount of crispy and spicy—seriously, I could’ve eaten a second round. For dessert, they serve up warm donut holes that you can dip, share (or not), and totally indulge in. I’m not even gonna lie, I almost forgot I was at a game center because that meal gave full-on restaurant vibes. It was absolutely delicious.
Now let’s talk drinks. With the combo, you get to pick three drinks, which makes it super fun to try different options or just make sure the whole family is covered. From lemonades and sodas to something fruity and fizzy, there’s a good mix for all ages. And for the grown folks—you know I had to check—yes, adult drinks are available too. Whether you’re a mojito kind of mom or a margarita-loving dad, they’ve got you covered.
Humane Crane Experience at Dave and Busters
While I was there, I also tried out the Human Crane—yes, you read that right. You literally get strapped in and become the claw, grabbing for fun prizes in a giant ball pit-style arena. It’s part silly, part challenging, and all the way fun. I couldn’t stop laughing the whole time. I ended up snagging a donut pool floaty to take home, which was the perfect little cherry on top of an already sweet day. I gave the floaty to my boys and its gonna to be a big part of our summer fun!

Overall, my time at Dave & Buster’s was exactly what I needed—laid back, full of laughs, and packed with something new to do. Between racing Hot Wheels, becoming a real-life claw machine, enjoying some seriously good food, and walking out with a fun floaty, I left with memories and a full belly.
